Wallsend Bowling Club is one of the oldest clubs in the district, they are also a founding club of the Big Bowls Invitational Challenge.
The bears use local talent even for their marquee players, apart from some guest appearances of some of Australias best bowlers. With the experience the Bears gained last year they will be competative and any team that takes them lightly may wake the hibernating bears.
